The official name is "Old Sapporo Agricultural School Performance Hall". Completed in 1878, it is Japan's oldest clock tower. Designated as Important Cultural Property. The walls are painted white, but investigations during preservation and repair revealed that the walls were gray at the time of construction and the pillars and window frames were painted brown. It moved 130m from the spot at that time.
